Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon but lunch is
not provided. There is a cafe on site, and The Drum pub is within a short walk from the studio, or feel free to bring a packed lunch.

No experience necessary. This workshop is perfect for beginners.

Please bring old clothes or an apron - painting can get messy!

Long stay parking is available a short walk from the studio (Craft Centre Car Park: Open 7am – 7pm, parking charges apply, please bring cash), and the number 62 Torquay to Cockington bus stops at Cockington Village.

Pointillism in Acrylics

Pointillism is defined by its use of mark making and colour. Pointillism paintings are created from hundreds of dots of carefully placed pure colours, relying on the eye to mix the colours to achieve maximum luminosity, in a similar way to pixels on a screen.
Learn how to use reds, blues and yellows to create the whole spectrum of colours. In this workshop we will look at basic colour theory, pigment strength and colour mixing before going on to create a colourful acrylic painting to take away with you.
